Development group CREDO announced its intention to commence construction of a multi-purpose object Live Center in Liptovský Mikuláš. Besides shops and services, there will be 119 apartments in the Live Center, designed by well known international company Orion International, which is going to operate these, as well.

Live Center in Liptovský Mikuláš is the first outcome of cooperation between CREDO development group and its French partner Orion International of the Pierre et Vacances group, the largest operator of recreation apartments, residences and leisure parks in Europe. Exclusive contract on representation at the Slovak market signed last year in April in Paris also involves construction of city or recreation apartment-type of hotels in other Slovak towns, as well as certain tourism areas in Slovakia.

Live Center project is located in the heart of Liptovský Mikuláš, at the edge of its historical centre and shopping zone, close to the D1 highway access road. With its eight floors and three underground floors, it will be a unique building aspiring to become a new dominant of the city that has more than thirty thousand inhabitants and is an economic and tourism centre of Liptov region. The ground floor and first floor will be used for shops, restaurants and other services. Starting from the third floor, there are 119 apartments designed with terraces and balconies, offering a wonderful views on the surrounding mountains. Modern architecture is emphasising the modern shape, being an optimal combination of residential and commercial premises. The size of one and two rooms’ apartments is ranging from 25 to 67 sq m. Three underground floors will be used as storage premises and convenient parking for guests, operators and visitors.

Jarmila Melichárková said, CREDO Executive Director. „During the project preparation phase, we gathered experience both in Slovakia and abroad, finding out that there is not a single company at the Slovak market at the moment with sufficient experience and know-how that would be convincing enough for us to manage administration of an apartment’s complex of this category. Therefore, we are very pleased to have found a partner in this strong European group operating apartment buildings in cities and recreation resorts in western Europe. This is the direction also for our future ideas of mutual cooperation, since we see a future in apartments, not only in recreation areas but also residential apartments in cities, and there, the efficient operation is not developed at all, in Slovakia. We appreciated very much the experience of our partner already during the project preparation, when our partners contributed with many valuable advices and recommendations based on their experience with similar project efficiently operated worldwide, as to what these require with regard to standards, future yields from renting, etc.“

For quite some time, there is a lot of interest shown in apartments in the Liptov and Tatry regions, since these offer many opportunities for leisure and relax, such as aquaparks, Liptovská Mara artificial lake, mountain tourism and witner sports in High and Low Tatras, caves and many more natural and historical monuments visited by thousands of people each year. Live Center construction is planned to commence in the spring next year, and it is to be approved for official use within two years.
